Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) organized a "Project Preparation and Appraisal Workshop" in coordination with World Bank, the workshop is being held in ADFD building with the participation of several local and international institutions including Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Saudi Fund for Development, Opec Fund For International Development, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Western Region Development Council, Khalifa Fund, Department of Transport, United Arab Emirates University, Abu Dhabi Sewage Service Company, International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), Supervision Committee for the expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport (SCADIA), as well as participant from ADFD.

The workshop is aimed at providing participants with the tools and techniques necessary to enhance their capabilities in performing project preparation and conducting project appraisals.

The Workshop will cover the overall frame work for preparation and appraisal, quality assurance, build up of project cost & overview of benefit cost analysis, Environmental and Social assessment and review of key issues and case studies of project appraisals.

This is second training and knowledge transfer function conducted under the frame work of continues cooperation between Abu Dhabi Fund and the World Bank. This workshop is conducted in support of the Fund's efforts in adopting best practices to effectively achieve its developmental objectives.
