Abu Dhabi, December 1 – Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) marked the UAE’s 53rd National Day with a vibrant celebration attended by His Excellency Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD; His Excellency Khalifa Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General; department heads and other employees.
The event was a tribute to Emirati heritage, as it featured a series of engaging activities including traditional competitions, folk arts, and a soq featuring products by Emirati families, which resonated warmly with attendees. A video presentation showcased the journey of ADFD, highlighting its strides towards sustainable development and improving the quality of life of communities worldwide.
In his address, H.E. Al Suwaidi reflected said: “National Day is a reminder of the unity of efforts and aspirations that have built our nation. It is a day of pride, as it celebrates the UAE’s remarkable achievements in economic, political, cultural, and social spheres over the past 53 years. Central to this journey has been the empowerment of individuals as the foundation of progress, ensuring a thriving present and a promising future.”
Further highlighting the UAE’s leadership on the global stage, he added: “The UAE has excelled in global economic indicators, establishing itself as a hub for trade and business. At ADFD, founded alongside our nation’s union, we remain committed to a clear vision and strategic roadmap to drive transformative advancements across development sectors. This will contribute to the country’s prosperity and secure a brighter future for generations.”
The event also featured a captivating performance by students from the Applied Technology School in Bani Yas. Through poetry recitations and other cultural performances, these students added a personal and emotional touch to the festivities, reflecting the enduring spirit of the union.
