Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) celebrated the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad with a series of activations that reflected the national pride and the country’s achievements over the decades. The event brought together its senior management, employees, and their families including children, who engaged with a diverse programme inspired by authentic Emirati heritage.
During the event, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, delivered a keynote speech in which he expressed his pride in the UAE’s journey of growth and development. He said: “Eid Al Etihad represents a significant national milestone in which we honour the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan whose vision and values set the foundations for unity, prosperity, and sustainable development. Our wise leadership continues to uphold and advance this legacy, driving the UAE towards an even more promising future.”
His Excellency added: “At ADFD, we take pride to being part of this remarkable journey and reinforce our commitment to contributing to the nation’s vision to create lasting impact, empower future generations, and strengthen the UAE’s position as a key driver of international development.”
Al Suwaidi further emphasised that under the guidance of UAE’s wise leadership, ADFD will continue supporting development initiatives locally and internationally, strengthening its role as a leading development institution dedicated to sustainable development and contributing to the UAE’s prominence in global cooperation.
The celebration featured a diverse program that combined heritage, culture, and entertainment, including artistic performances reflecting the spirit of Union, traditional Emirati segments, and interactive competitions that engaged attendees. A special video was also presented that highlighted ADFD’s journey, achievements in development work, and leadership in supporting sustainable development and improving quality of life in partner countries.
The event also hosted a dedicated Children’s Corner offering interactive activities, entertainment segments, raffles, and prizes. Employees also participated in heritage-themed activities reflecting the principles of UAE’s ‘Year of Community’ and embodying values of cohesion and social solidarity.
The celebration concluded with a photo session and the recognition of distinguished participants in the cultural activities, further underscoring the UAE’s values of pride, unity, and belonging that continues to guide ADFD’s institutional culture.
