Dams in Oujda Region
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development managed a UAE grant that provided funding for dams in the Oujda region. This project was very important for accelerating agricultural production, protecting the area from flooding, supplying groundwater, and also providing water for other purposes. The project included eight dams in the Oujda region, of which four were stone dams, and four were terrain dams. The lakes behind these dams ranged in size from 20,000 to 240,000 cubic meters of water.
