Development of Southern Shallalah Area
The development project of the southern Shallalah Area aimed to boost tourism in Aqaba city by building a new residential district (Al Karamah City) to house residents of the old southern Shallalah area and remove slums. The new residential district features 1,000 housing units with infrastructure, social services, inner roads, and a main road to the city. The project covers an area of 470 donums.
