Ground Mounted Solar Plant
The 1,000 kW photovoltaic power plant forms the basis that seeks to enhance the energy infrastructure of Guadalcanal Island, home to capital Honiara, to meet the future electricity demand of the local population. The completed project saves US$577,000 each year through reducing diesel consumption by 454,000 litres, with annual CO2 emissions cut down by 1,254 tonnes.
