Project Name

Timkit Dam

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development provided funding for the Tamkit Dam to support the Moroccan economy and boost agricultural production through irrigating the areas adjacent to the dam. These areas are used to grow cereals, vegetables, fodder, and support cattle. The project also aimed to provide drinking water and protect the area from floods. The project included constructing a 56 meter high dam, made from 136,000 cubic meters of concrete with a holding capacity of 14 million cubic meters of water.
