Overview
The project aims to support the country's economy through the development of the water sector. The project adds about 71,000 cubic meters per day of drinking water in the capital Maseru, the cities of Rome, Mazinod, Tiatianeng and the surrounding villages.
The project includes the construction of a dam of 53 million cubic meters on a strait along the stream of the Futhiasana river to store and regulate the river's water. The project includes a station, water purification and storage tanks, four pumping stations.
