Overview
ADFD allocated an AED110 million concessionary loan to build the Néma-Banco-Pascno-Fusala Road with the aim of improving access to a large geographical area in Mauritania, and facilitating the movement of people, animals and goods, especially agricultural products.
The project included the construction of a two-lane road, 264 kilometres long and seven metres wide, with a 1.5-metre shoulder on each side. The road comprises three sections: Néma-Banco (63 km), Banco-Pascno (100 km) and Pascno-Fusala on the Mali border (63 km).
