Overview

The Benha Power Station project aims to support the Egyptian economy by meeting the increasing demand for electricity. It will be prepared to deal with the expected increase in load in the East Delta and the Centre. The power station will have a capacity of 750 MW and will be linked with the national grid on a 220 kilovolt transmission line.  This power station, funded by ADFD, serves the large urban and agricultural bloc of Benha, the capital of the Qalubia Governorate in the East Delta. The facility has helped Benha become a hub of electronic industries. The project consists of two gas turbines and two steam turbines with a capacity of 250 MW each, two boilers to maintain the temperature, three generators, three transformers of main capacity, condenser, as well as all civil, mechanical and electrical works in addition to consulting services and insurances.
