Overview
Tin houses and slums are generally among the most challenging issues facing world cities. They usually lack any good housing components and often hinder urban progress.
Through two grants offered by the UAE, the Moroccan government sought to build residential units to house people living in tin houses and prepare the area for re-planning. This has reflected positively on the area’s economy, attracted investments and businesses, and provided further job opportunities. Located in Asilah city, the project involved the building of 400 residential units.
