Overview
Although many developing countries are rich in natural resources, the lack of necessary infrastructure, especially in the field of transportation, prevents optimal exploitation of these resources, and exacerbates development and difficult living conditions. Accordingly, ADFD paid special interest to funding transportation projects, given its role in stimulating development and facilitating the transport of people and products.
In this context, the fund financed the purchase of 30 railcars, spare parts and equipment for locomotives and rail, in order to improve the performance of the rail network and promote the transport sector in the country, in a way that facilitates the transport of goods and people between cities and regions, on the one hand, and between Tunisia and neighboring countries, on the other hand, which in turn, contributes to facilitating regional trade.
